Biography
Zaw Naing is the Managing Director of Mandalay Technology. He also has actively involved in various prominent Myanmar associations, such as MES, MCPA, MBE, MOGSS, GEGG and holds fellowships and memberships in international organizations, such as Future Earth, Asian Science Camp, AIGE, Asia Hub, CIAERA, CESRA, etc.
He earned his degrees in Electronic Engineering, Executive MBA, and a Ph.D. He served as a national consultant for key sectors in Myanmar _ education and innovation, vocational training, urban development, smart cities, entrepreneurship, etc.
He teaches part-time in various training centers, universities and institutes, teaching the subjects like “leadership”, “entrepreneurship”, “Human Resource Management”, “Organizational Behavior and Development”, etc.. He also initiated a seminar series promoting awareness of 4th industrial revolution and impacts in various aspects, such as Industry 4.0, Education 4.0, Business 4.0, Engineering 4.0, Healthcare 4.0, Mandalay 4.0, etc.
In 2020, he founded and served as the Secretary General of the Zanaka Education Foundation, addressing gaps in Myanmar’s education sector.
The company he is leading, Mandalay Technology, received the Gold Award of the ASEAN ICT Award in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) for its geospatial training programs, and is also a supporting organization of the United Nations’ Global Compact.
Zaw Naing initiated and led the impactful “People to People Sharing” campaign, exemplifying his commitment to serving those in need.
Motivated by a desire to aid communities during the challenging Covid-19 period, he collaborated with like-minded friends to successfully gather donations. Both individuals and companies joined forces to contribute to the cause. The campaign distributed essential supplies, including food, necessities, medicines, and life-saving oxygen, to over 15,000 households, monasteries, Buddhist convent schools, and orphanages affected by the pandemic.
